The Frayed Edge is a digital-only literary site that believes genre and literature can co-exist peacefully, if not infuse themselves into one another unapologetically.

We focus on short-form fiction that dwells mainly in sci-fi, fantasy, and speculative, but with an emphasis on the human condition, studying the impact that worlds unlike our own have on the inhabitants that experience a different way of life day-in and day-out.

We try not to discriminate based solely on style, voice, or the various races your characters take. We welcome all visions of our future, as well as alternate versions of our own reality.
